Cookie & Storage Notice
Version 1.0 · Published 4 November 2026
This supplements the Privacy & Fair Processing Notice. The application at app.brieflink.co.uk and the marketing website at www.brieflink.co.uk use different technologies.
Sign-in and requested services
- Supabase authentication cookies keep your signed-in session. They are restricted to HTTP access and use an eight-hour browser lifetime; session validity is also checked on the server.
- A
brieflink-complimentarycookie can preserve an access invitation for up to 14 days while you register. bl_notification_returnremembers an instruction or notification link during sign-in for up to one hour.brieflink-registration-routein session storage remembers your account-type selection within the tab while you register.
These support authentication, security or the service you have requested. Blocking them in your browser may prevent those functions from working.
Appearance
brieflink-theme saves your light, dark or system appearance choice on this device. It has no automatic expiry. It is used only for appearance, not tracking. You can object below or in Settings. Turning it off removes the saved theme; brieflink-appearance-storage then remembers that objection until you change it or clear browser storage.
Turn this off to remove your saved theme. Appearance changes will then last only for this visit. A small preference remembers your choice not to save the theme. About browser storage
The portal no longer writes the unused sidebar_state cookie. A copy from a previous visit expires after its original seven-day lifetime or can be cleared in your browser.
Browser notifications
Web Push is currently disabled. The application does not request notification permission, register new subscriptions or send push notifications. An earlier browser permission or subscription may remain stored until you remove it in browser settings; it is not used to deliver push while disabled. The notification service worker does not store an offline copy of the portal.
Other services
We found no deliberately installed analytics, advertising pixels, fingerprinting or AI processing in the portal application. No analytics or marketing consent is inferred from accepting the Terms.
Payments open Stripe’s hosted pages, whose storage is governed by that service. Browser and email providers and Cloudflare may apply their own security technologies. Their live settings and storage lifetimes require separate provider verification; this page does not claim that third-party services use no cookies.
Marketing website
Squarespace hosts the marketing website and processes technical information needed to serve and secure it, including browser, device, network and request information. Its optional analytics uses visitor and visit information. The website’s cookie banner uses opt-in controls: choose Manage cookies to refuse optional categories or change your choice. Accepting the application’s Terms does not enable marketing-site analytics.
Squarespace’s consent-preference cookies remember that choice. Analytics cookies such as ss_cid, ss_cvr, ss_cvisit and ss_cvt apply only where permitted by your website preferences. See Squarespace’s cookie inventory and lifetimes. The website’s light/dark preference is separate from the app’s appearance preference.
Website services may involve processing outside the UK. See the international-transfer information and Squarespace’s data-processing and transfer terms. Contact Brieflink for further information about the applicable safeguards.
